Though a thoughtful note should be as specific and personal as possible, here is an example of a general letter that can serve as an inspiring jumping off point:
Dear (Their Name),
I hope this letter finds you well. I’m writing to you today because you’ve been on
my mind lately, and I just wanted to say hi! (Insert memory/reason you thought of
them/something new in life/etc.).
No matter how much time has passed, I always feel connected to you. I value
your friendship immensely, and I’m so grateful that you are in my life. I would love it if we could catch up sometime soon!

The most memorable cards include something a little extra—a doodle, a photo of your kids or pets, stickers—just be sure that the envelope doesn’t become too thick, or you might require extra postage!
